It’s the best possible recognition of our super-friendly helpful and inspiring team. Thank you, our customers for this recognition!

As we all know, customer service is a pillar of good business. And ever since we entered the market, our Client Care team has been both the means of achieving our goals and one of our main goals itself. Our mission is to make freight shipping easy, accessible and green. And there’s no way to do that without putting an emphasis on service with a smile! 🙂 We’re proud to say, without any contrived modesty, that our customer service is the best one in this stressful industry of freight shipping. Our team functions like a small, close-knit family, and although we highly value professionalism and good training, we put a strong emphasis on warmth and empathy as well. In the era of Internet and automation, it’s sometimes hard to remember that there is a real person behind that email you get – and we try to remind ourselves of this every single day!

Uganda Launches Warehouse and Warehousing standard

Uganda has launched the Warehouse and Warehousing Standard for bagged storage of cereals and pulses, the first one in East Africa. The standard which was launched today by Hon. Amelia Kyambadde at Jinja Nile Resort, will improve the quality of storage facilities for cereals and pulses like maize and ultimately improve the quality of our cereals and pulses.

German firm ship begins docking at Mombasa port

A German-based transportation firm has started docking at the Port of Mombasa, adding to the list of multinational shipping lines discharging cargo at Kenya’s sole sea port. Hapag-Lloyd Shipping Company introduced a new vessel, Mv Spero which has a capacity of 1770 (Twenty Foot Equivalent Units) TEUs.

The shipping line, which is a leading global shipping company commenced its inaugural service to East Africa by first docking at the Port of Mombasa. The Kenya Ports Authority Managing Director Catherine Mturi-Wairi in a statement said Mv Spero docked at the Mombasa port at 4am loaded with 1770 TEUs. “The 1770 TEUs capacity vessel arrived at 4am on Thursday and will discharge a total of 154 TEUs on her maiden call, the vessel is expected to complete by noon before proceeding to the port of Dar es Salaam,” she said

Uganda Airlines plans Burundi dominance

Uganda Airlines on Monday launched flights to Burundi’s Melchior Ndadaye International airport, Bujumbura, the fifth route on the revived national carrier’s network. Uganda Airlines is the seventh international airline to fly to the East African country after SN Brussels, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, RwandAir, Air Tanzania and Jambo Jet. These, according to Pacifique Musongera, an official of the Burundian civil aviation authority, carried 270,000 passengers in and out of Burundi last year.

“We hope that Uganda Airlines’ cheaper fares will attract more passengers,” Musongera said. SN Brussels is the only commercial non-African airline that flies to Bujumbura following the exit of Emirates, Fly Dubai and Qatar Airways about three years ago. Deo Nyanzi, Uganda Airlines’ sales and marketing manager, told The Observer that their focus is not primarily on Burundi’s small market but building a network to strengthen its hub at Entebbe. “We are looking at the network of passengers going to any of our destinations because when selling, we don’t sell a single route of Bujumbura – Entebbe. Someone could be travelling to Mogadishu and books our flight from Bujumbura to Entebbe and finally to Mogadishu. It is that network that we are looking at,” Nyanzi said.
